About The Show

g

The Homebuilding & Renovating Shows are run by expert self builders and renovators, to help you kickstart your project. Established in 1990, Homebuilding & Renovating is the UK’s number-one brand for anybody looking to create or improve their own home.

We currently hold seven annual exhibitions across the UK, with an eighth due to launch in 2025. Each show brings together 100s of suppliers, plus free expert advice and inspiring seminars, all under one roof – ideal given the UK weather!

Our shows currently take place in Farnborough, London, Birmingham, Glasgow, Surrey, Harrogate and Somerset each year, with Edinburgh due to return in October 2025. You’ll find free seminars at all of our shows, as well as our Ask The Experts hub where you can register for free one-to-one advice from a panel of industry experts, including architects, planning consultants, renewables experts and heating engineers.

Our first show was held at Birmingham’s NEC in April 1994 and many of the team who launched that event are still involved in its running today. The shows have run every year since, apart from during the Covid pandemic when we switched to virtual events to continue offering advice and inspiration.

Here at Homebuilding & Renovating, we also run a best-selling monthly magazine and website offering in-depth advice on self builds and renovations. Our sister brand, Plotfinder, can help you to find your perfect plot or project to tackle in the first place.

We look forward to welcoming you to one of our shows very soon.
